Merkaz Hatorah Community Kollel was established in the summer of 2007 (Elul 5767), and today has fourteen Avreichim under the guidance of Rosh Kollel Rabbi Boruch Yehudah Gradon and Rosh Chaburah Rabbi Daniel Danishevsky. The Kollel, situated in the heart of L.A.’s Pico-Robertson neighborhood, strives to provide an intense learning environment that will in turn develop its members into accomplished Torah scholars, leaders and educators throughout the world.
The Kollel also serves as a vital Makom Torah for the community; a place where people feel comfortable to come in and join a Shiur, learn B’Chavrusa with one of our Fellows or simply sit by themselves and benefit from the Torah inspired atmosphere.
The Kollel offers Shiurim and learning opportunities throughout the Los Angeles community, and includes our Merkaz HaBayis division for women under the capable leadership of Mrs. Sarah Gertel.
Over the years many Avreichim have graduated from the Kollel. Several have positions here in Los Angeles while others have assumed leadership positions throughout the U.S. and internationally.
